Collected my civic finally yesterday evening... went for Unique Paint Preservation System(PPS) this afternoon.Overall, I must say that I am very satisfied with the work done by Unique Let me briefly describe the experience for those bros/sis interested in doing PPS for their car as well...Unique uses PTFE products from USA, as i was witnessing the whole process on how my car was prepared for the application, I managed to chat with the boss on many issues regarding PPS. Unique has been in the business for many years and they actually tried many PPS products before, including a few of them currently used by their competitors (boss showed me samples). They finally settled on their current product range for maximum durability, protection and shine... Furthermore, their prices are one of the most competitive in the market for PTFE coating (www.unique1995.sg)What you get for the money u paid:1) normal shampoo wash to remove dust and dirt2) chemical wash (with 2 types of chemicals) to remove wax/polish and other chemicals on the paintwork, stripping the car to purely only paint3) removal of swirls marks, scratches on the bare paint4) restoring the paint to perfect condition and shine (with machine bought from USA)5) sealing the paint with a layer of PTFE coating (with machine bought from USA)6) touching up, vacumn, tyre shine etc= total about 5 hours!U will get a 2 years warrenty (for new cars) or a 1.5 years warrenty. A bottle of Cleaner and a piece of mircofibre cloth. Weekly plain water wash or with mild car shampoo is enough to maintain the PTFE coating shine. Overall very good, detailed and friendly service provided.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for adding me onto the list for the PPS discount. It was money well spent and would encourage others to do the same. I collected my Civic Si yesterday and had gone for my PPS at unique today. My experience there was very gratifying as the people there are very professional and helpful especially Sherine. She even went down personally to inspect the work done on my car. The job took 5 hours to complete but I'm not complaining as it was a job well done!! As my car is Black in colour, it needed more attention as any small flaws can be detected easily and i also fitted full Mugen bodykit from KM therefore more time is required. The only setback is that it rained heavily on my way home after the PPS.. I had to take shelter at a multi-storey carpark until the rain stop.

Only down side is that when I picked up my baby after the grooming session yesterday evening...it was pouring! I really hope that it will not affect the gross.....but Chan (The owner) gave me the assurance....if any problem, just bring back the car...he will do his magic!Finally, a big thank you to bro Xtreme....great recommendation. Must say Unique is really service orientated.

I actually went back to Unique today for some follow up services.Reason: It should be due to the construction area nearby where I parked my car, the paint surface actually lost its smoothness, got sand blasted and some scratches, luckily its not too serious. So I had those minor scratches fixed today, surface touched up and special thanks to UNIQUE for applying an additional layer of PTFE to protect my car . Now its back to the original shine again! So just some words of advice, be careful of where u park your car!Another piece of info to share which i heard today from Unique's boss, for those who have gone or are going for Unique PPS, after the PPS, if your car happens to be scratched by inconsiderate people , Unique actually have a cream to conceal the scratches provided they are not too deep. However, its not permanent, after 6 months or so, reapplication is needed to conceal it again. Moreover, the area of application will not be covered under the warrenty program. Advantage is that u do not need to go for respray or paint touch up. For more info, find out from the boss when u r there doing the PPS.Thus far, I have not regretted choosing Unique for PPS service. Those still considering, if you can spare the $2xx bucks, go for it! u will be pleased with the results and protection offered!

Hi all, just returned home from Unique, so just some updates on the big long scratch on my car... its been removed!!!
According to Chang (Sherine's husband), the scratch is on the PTFE layer on top of my paintwork, my original paint is only slightly affected by the scratch. So they removed the telfon layer, did polishing on my paintwork (removing top layer of paint to remove minor scratch mark), and covered that patch with PTFE sealant again! All these within an hour and FOC!!!This is really excellent after sales service!
I really urge everyone here to go to them for PPS service irregardless whether your car is new or old... Unique does wonders to your paintwork! For those new to this forum, Unique provides excellent Paint Protection Service (PPS) by coating a layer of PTFE sealant to protect your paint from harmful external elements such as acid rain, UV rays etc... also with the PTFE sealant, u do not have to wax your car anymore! Maintaining your car paint is also much easier! Wat else? If ur car is being scratched like mine, the telfon coating can actually shields your paintwork from part of the scratch. Furthermore, there is a warrenty period for shine and protection for up to 2 years!

For those who want to get the 2 yr warranty, pls do yr PPS by 800km. Today my milage is already 600km, thats why the hurry.

It has been more than 2 months since the PPS and i am proud to say that my black civic is still as shiny. I had a post last week stating that a stranger who was washing his ride beside mine commented that my civic is very shiny and asked what did i do to it. The answer is Unique PPS.
Please do not be worried that after the PPS, the shine will be gone soon because Unique's lasting PPS formula is different from other companies. Furthermore we are also given a special "preservation solution" to wash our car with which will preserve and maintain the shine on the PTFE sealant.
Look at the whole PPS as a whole package rather than a one time service. Consider also the protection on your paintwork by the PPS. There is also a 2 year warrenty on shine and protection. Unique also provides excellent after sales services as experienced by many of us here. So why should you be worried? Visit their office, hav a talk with sherine or her husband chang to understand more about their products. See for yourself the live samples. No obligations really, they are not those hard core salesperson who will pressure you to commit.
Lastly, just want to comment on DIY products. I have tried many including very established brand on my previous ride but they are often not lasting (2 or 3 weeks) and extremely tedious to apply every now and then.

They even showed me how to remove the glovebox & aircon filter in case I needed to do it myself. Sherine's friendly and patient.
Only thing I didn't realize is I now have to wash the car myself (using just water) instead of sending to Caltex manual snow-wash like I always did with my previous ride - apparently the snow-wash chemicals and high-pressure water jet if used too closely on the car body might affect the PPS (2-yr warranty doesn't cover that). Also the cloth/sponges they use might have trapped dirt that will scratch the paintwork."

I'm not an employee or anyway related to Unique, just another extremely satisfied customer singing their praises and trying to tell all workshops/groomers etc out there that if you give excellent after-sales support, you are in business with us.
As my current workplace only has parking spaces in the open spare the director, my ride is exposed to the harsh elements everyday, (and its really rain and shine everyday these days!!) Recently, think i got some dirty or acidic rain and tat left some stubborn stains all over the top surfaces that cannot be removed with normal car shampoo even. And on top of tat, careless me left my bottle of preservative in my MSCP after only my 2nd application!!
So down i went to unique trying to buy another bottle of preservative and seek advise on the stubborn stains. Out came Chang, took a look, produced a bottle of magic cleaner, tried it, and the stains are gone!!!! Gave me the bottle of cleaner and another small bottle of preservative FOC!!! And they also offered to make an appointment to remove all the stains for me!!! Now this is wat i call Gold-Class After-Sales Service!!! Of cos i was too paiseh already. So will try out the magic-cleaner with my own Gu-Lad!!!
Although non-black cars do not look as shimmeringly shinny after the PPS application, it actually provides very easy maintenance. Any dirt or stain hits the PTFE layer rather than your paintwork which Unique is able to work wonders with. If you do not have PPS or are still considering, this is definately worth a try.

Did my Unique PPS on Sat, and car felt smooth and slippery (can't think of a better word to describe it) to the touch after that.
When I did my 1K servicing at KM this morning, I specifically told them to not use shampoo but wash only with water. However, the car no longer feels as smooth, so I'm wondering if they bothered to follow instructions.
Is it normal that the car will lose the smooth feel once it's been washed with water? I just want to confirm that my PPS has not been washed away with car shampoo by KM

Its been almost 6 months since i did PPS with Unique. Results are still fantastic!
If you hand wash your car yourself every week like i do, maybe u can consider getting Unique's very own CAR WASH SHAMPOO...Sherine from Unique claimed it to be a mild shampoo safe for use regularly with the PPS coating. Mild it might be, i found it to have very good cleaning power... it is also extremely 'smooth' and removes dusts and dirt from the surface easily...
Definitely better than my previous car shampoo bought at the petrol station. Personally tried it for 3 washes before making this recommendation to u... For pricing, please contact Unique directly for details shouldn't be expensive.

Did my Unique PPS on Sat, and car felt smooth and slippery (can't think of a better word to describe it) to the touch after that.
When I did my 1K servicing at KM this morning, I specifically told them to not use shampoo but wash only with water. However, the car no longer feels as smooth, so I'm wondering if they bothered to follow instructions.
Is it normal that the car will lose the smooth feel once it's been washed with water? I just want to confirm that my PPS has not been washed away with car shampoo by KM

hi all, just a piece of info for all bros/sis who did PPS with Unique.
Its been almost 6 months since i did PPS with Unique. Results are still fantastic!
If you hand wash your car yourself every week like i do, maybe u can consider getting Unique's very own CAR WASH SHAMPOO...Sherine from Unique claimed it to be a mild shampoo safe for use regularly with the PPS coating. Mild it might be, i found it to have very good cleaning power... it is also extremely 'smooth' and removes dusts and dirt from the surface easily...
Definitely better than my previous car shampoo bought at the petrol station. Personally tried it for 3 washes before making this recommendation to u... For pricing, please contact Unique directly for details shouldn't be expensive.

I've had my PPS done, many thanx to Xtreme bro for the efforts to help with the list for good discount on PPS. Something I need to ask other fellow forumers that had done PPS. Can anyone give their review of PPS after several MONTHS? Anyone that done their PPS for 3 months ago that is reading this, can you help provide your review? With the feedback, i'm sure more pple would be certain if they shd spend the money to do PPS. As many would agree, polishing will only give you the smooth feel for about 2 weeks, and the shine would fade after about a month... what about PPS?

I done my PPS in May, still look gross and shiny although I used water jet to flush away the dirt each time I was my car. However, I have never used any car washing soap.I would like to compliment Serine and their customer services. A month after I done the PPS coating, I happened to be in Tuas area and got caught with some sand blasting. Was pretty upset and brought my car back to Serine and they helped to touch up my car and remove some minor sandblast particles. They really provided one the the best services.

The pple at Unique (mistaken e name as Ultra) are rather personalized with their work... maybe that's cos they're small unlike those 'bigger' PPS shops that usually will compromise on customer service when they grow too big. I'm recommending Unique to fellow car owners too.

I totally agree with Bro Beckham. The service provided at Unique is excellent! No joke! I recently took my car to wash at Unique, a service provided for their customer only. Not only did they do a good job inside n outside, they actually helped me touch up some scratches I had free of charge. Excellent! For the 10 bucks I paid for the preservation wash plus vaccuum, I came back with a spotless black car! I even promised to buy them drinks on my next visit as a small token of appreciation. Thanks to bro Xtreme for the recommendation! Cheers

It is fun to share the good lobang and discount. Not only Uniques Products is excellant, their aftersale customer service is No. 1 is Singapore...Guaranteed. Maybe you guys can share more information on motoring gargets and i will try to bargain for group discount from the suppliers.
